As soon as you get home remove any dealer names license plate frames installed.
First week install the perrin intake tube and throw the sound tube in the trash. Then put around 2k on it and see what you would want next. |

I must be doing it wrong. My latest 86 will have around $9,000-$10,000 in mods before I even start it, let alone drive it.

Modified = Good
Standard = Bad Opinions may vary, just like budgets

Some people like the STI short shifter, some people think there isn't enough of a difference for what it costs. If I ever change the shifter I will buy the CAE Ultra Shifter. https://cae-racing.de/CAE-Ultra-Shifter_2059 You can't get more over the top but it's the best thing out there. Diffuser is all about looks. I think that's a total waste, but then again I'm an asshole that doesn't give a crap about looks. If you like the way it looks then sure go for it. But make sure you do a complete look at every aftermarket option because they will all most likely be less money. |

Don't waste your money on any mods yet... But intakes are a waste. Drive it bone stock. After that it depends on what you want to do. If you have an e85 station then OFT and run 85. Maybe next some extra grip and some springs. RCE yellows or eibach pros are may favorites. You can go down a very large rabbit hole so be careful lol

For the OP though on a serious note.. it depends on your goals.
If you plan to just enjoy the car on the street, leave it stock for now. See what you want to fix. Sticky tires are great for braking/etc but they do take some of the fun out of these cars on the street. If you plan to track it, sticky tires, brake pads and fluid. Then learn the car for several events and then consider changing it.
