Not all. The Tow loops for my GD Imprezas (02-07) do NOT fit my BRZ. Maybe newer Subarus will match (08+) but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions on reliable cheap tow hooks/strap? best one i found is the takata one. I also like the way these look a lot. Just not sure if they fit even though it says universal http://www.andysautosport.com/subaru...c00008515.html

By the way, driving around with your tow hooks in is a pretty good way to get the airbags to not deploy correctly in a crash.
@wallace03 Those "universal" tow hooks sandwich the factory tow hooks underneath the car, the little teeth on frame that you use to secure the car to a flatbed. They're usually flimsy and shitty enough that any side load will fold them over.

For those of you that want to mess around with tow hooks... this isn't the place to DIY. Welding a bigger ring onto the stock hook might look cool, but if that weld fails while someone is trying to pull your car out of a ditch, it might ruin someone's day when a chain or strap under considerable tension suddenly goes flying. The stock rings are perfectly adequate, if you need a larger strap the best thing to do would be get the spencer fabrication bumper beam which comes with a correctly installed tow strap.

I just wish they made these for the FRS / WRX

@qoncept at least on my WRX, it was in the owners manual that it may interfere with how the sensors work. it makes sense, hitting something with the hook in will put much more force straight into the frame rail as opposed to spreading it across the bumper beam

going back further, '95 imprezas were recalled because Subaru decided that the factory fixed tow hook under the bumper cover, which hung lower than the rest of the solid stuff on the front of that car, would set off the airbags if you struck a big enough object on the ground forcefully enough.

obviously, airbag technology has advanced since my '02 or that '95, but it's still worth noting.

hmm i really can't afford an entire new bumper beam right now. Don't the straps just wrap around the frame of the car anyways? i guess if anything ill just use the stock tow hook for my track day.

I don't trust those strap tabs inducing a torque on the bolt and tabs when a load is applied. Have you ever seen them used for purpose and not cause deformation or fail?

I searched on eBay RaceEng hooks are about $175, Cusco's are cheaper at $115. However, the GodSpeed ones have very different prices. From $25 to $80. What is going on here? Also if I buy a RaceEng one, is it at high risk of being stolen? I can imagine it will be very easy for a interested thief.
