Yep, when it's time to clean them I just have to trust I actually did so because they always look "clean" or "dirty" depending on how you think matte black looks on a wheel.

Today I completed my Rexpeed convex heated mirror install by installing the relay for the heated mirrors and tested them out. Both mirrors got warm after about a minute with no blown fuses, burning electrical smells, etc. Needless to say I was quite pleased that the effort I put into adding the proper wiring to the factory harness was worth it.
I also installed the windshield adapter for my auto dimming compass mirror, fed the wire through the headliner, installed the wire cover, and installed the new mirror. I'm still waiting for my wiring harness to arrive so I can plug it into the connector hiding under the headliner. The last thing I did was order a new clutch slave cylinder with a 3/4 bore as outlined in a thread by @Ultramaroon that I stumbled across last night. I can't stand this clutch anymore and everyone who drives my car complains about the clutch, so this slave cylinder will supposedly solve all of my problems. Edit- to add to our debate about the 86 Speed hood struts from the other day: the shiny stickers that say "86 Speed" have begun to peel off of both struts after owning them for a few days. The struts themselves still work fine, but the stickers seem pretty cheap. Last edited by Face_Plant; 10-30-2018 at 05:28 PM. |

I'm going to see if I can reattach them with some glue before removing them entirely. |
