A fitment is a fixed item of furniture or piece of equipment, especially in a house it is not a replacement for fit.
This got me rummaging through google a LOT more than it should have. How fitting.

That said... I think I'll still use the word fitment. I thought "fit up" would be okay but that has an entirely different meaning.

How do the pants fit?
How's the fit on those pants?
How's the fitment on those pants?
Do the pants fitment?

How do the pants fit? Proper use
How's the fit on those pants? Proper use
How's the fitment on those pants? Why add 'ment?
Do the pants fitment? Still no ment needed

There is only one definition for the word 'fitment'.
People are trying to make a verb by adding 'ment where the word fit is already the verb.
It is bad enough the stance crowd introduced this word but it is rapidly spreading to everything else.

fit·ment

/ˈfitmənt/

nounBritish

noun: fitment; plural noun: fitments
  1. a fixed item of furniture or piece of equipment, especially in a house

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/fitment

Noun

fitment (plural fitments)
  1. (archaic) Something that suits or fits.

This reminds me of irregardless. Which is an archaic form of the word regardless... that happens to mean the exact same thing.

I went to replace the clip the other day after driving around in the rain, and found that there was water in between the door and the plastic cover. Is this normal?

I did the drivers side afterwards, which to my knowledge has never been disassembled, and there was also water (a bit less than the passenger side). It seems a bit concerning, considering the wires & connectors that run through here.
