Just because you feel a need to beat on the car does not mean it needs it to perform. You can shift just before redline with no noticeable difference in performance.
Not driving asshat style does not equate to driving like a granny.
Go give your wife your keys. She clearly has your balls in her purse.

Redlining isn’t beating on it. It’s loving on it.
Also redlining isn’t banging limiter its shifting at 7200+rpm but before limiter.
Redline a day keeps the issues away.

Would love a vette though. But this car is so easy and cheap to wrench on.

Wait, your rev limit is only 7200?

I thought redline mark was at 7200, but i just checked looks like its 7400. A lot of cars have the redline before limiter as more of a warning. In my defense my cars been on stands for 2 weeks now in surgery.
Either way I’d say 7200+ is close enough to redline to consider it redlining. Don’t need to bang off limiter each shift.

So now you are shifting about where I do. Red line is red line. 7200 is not.
So you didn't even know what you were talking about but were prepared to insult and demean. Typical.

I think the last time I accidently over rev down shifted half the people on this forum were not born yet.
Car doesn't make enough power to not redline it daily. Especially if you're trying to merge onto a highway properly.

My car starts to fall off at around 7200 anyway. I went to a 4.3 FD but extended my rev limit. There are a couple sections of track I would be bouncing the limiter, but a shift is not worth it.

Symantecs,
If someone says they shift at redline I’m not assuming they are banging limiter at 7400. I’m not assuming they are literally shifting on the redline. They’ll say i shift at limiter, off limiter, bang limiter etc.. shifting at redline to me is shifting above 7200rpm but before whatever you have limiter set to.

And you can still drive on the street without needing to shift at redline.
