Still on the topic of this, i've got D2H bulbs and waiting for my VLAND casing to arrive for install.

I've been given the impression it's all plug and play with no wiring required but sometimes I see people using some kind of blue clip that they use to attach the indicator wiring to the headlight for the sequentials on the VLAND to work. Is that something everybody with VLANDs has to do? I don't know anything about wiring and I don't have any clips or idea of what to do should I find myself in the position of installing my VLANDs only for the indicators on them to not work. I also am weary of my weak bumper clips and want to get it all done in one go and not have to remove the bumper additional times after the install.

This video is the only video i've found that actually goes in depth into the headlight install. Most of the time they just skip the cable connecting and just say they installed it easy. This guy also has the same d2h set up as me but unfortunately I don't understand anything he's saying.

The blue clip I referred to he shows at 12:44.

Can anyone who has done this explain to me what he's doing, what clips and other tools i'll need if this is something i'll have to do aswell

You need to give more info if you want a true response. What lights, what housings, etc. that you are comparing.

If you're talking about a D2H HID kit in VLAND headlights, that's already been extensively discussed here.

I asked if a xenon hid kit in an aftermarket headlight like Vland is better that stock 2017 LED headlight.

If there is a difference then it might be a difference of getting a 96% on a test and a 99%. Both people got an A.

My HIDs on my Vlands light up road signs further than what I can read, and I have better than 20/20 vision. They light up objects over a quarter mile away.

I have upgraded D2S bulbs on my FRS Monogram but the LED H11 conversion bulbs on my Mazda 3's projector headlight are comparable in brightness and pattern. Quality of LED conversion strongly depends on the quality of the projector on the headlight. A good projector headlight and a good quality LED conversion bulb is comparable to a good quality HID based on my experience. Reflector headlights, on the other hand, are not good with LED conversion as I found with my Honda Odyssey.

HeadlightRevolution recently tested 25 most popular LED headlight bulbs. Their #1 pick, which I also have now, is GTR Lighting Ultra Series 2 LED on my stock FRS headlamp. I used to have DiodeDynamics SL1 LED & was also able to compare them side by side. SL1 is about 2x brighter than the brightest halogen I could find back then, Philips X-treme Vision, & the GTR is even brighter than SL1. Both premium LED's are properly engineered to have distinct hot spots whether using a reflector or a projector headlamp.

I believe mine is 7W, but I am not sure. I bought the LED lights I am using from vont.com, and luckily everything is working correctly. The alternator on this model is too weak for LED lights, so I had to change it before installing the lights. It wasn't a big problem, because the old one was already broken, so I decided to replace it with a better one which will allow better viability of the electric system in the car. I am very happy that I have the LED lights because now I can see the road well while driving at night.

For LEDs, I had good results with the Auxbeam F-16 series. They're budget-friendly and throw a decent amount of lumens. For HIDs, Philips and Osram are reliable choices; they offer great brightness and longevity. Just make sure you match the colour temperature to your preference. If you're still undecided, consult a specialist or visit a website for more options that might help.

During quarantine, I redesigned my house and often used leds.to for lighting choices. They have informative articles and suggestions on various models, which simplifies everything. You can see more information on their website, maybe they will help you.
