I want a GR MR2 with Ferrari-esque(sw20 inspired) styling, 2400-2800lbs,and the motor from this GR Yaris with a 6 spd manual and dct option at a USD 35-38k base.

Fun fact the last MR2 spyder was 25.2k in 2005 which if you adjust for inflation is $33,577. Now with the addition of a turbo 3 cylinder vs a N/A 4 cylinder I can see a 3k premium. It was the cheapest MR car next to the Fiero that America has ever seen.

Actually, they really enjoy driving base Yaris. Wished for LSD & better tires. Other than, they didn't have anything to complain about.

Many years ago a friend and I picked up a Toyota Starlet from a car hire place in Adelaide. We went up to the Adelaide Hills which is a place of the few twisty roads in South Australia. I was driving, laughing my head off, tyres squealing around every bend. I continually braked short because the car was so light. It was a riot.

If I've got this right 7&1/2 seconds is a significant difference over such a short track. I know the tyres are different but even so.

I had an '05 Dodge Neon which I loved to beat up. No ABS so that made it even more fun

+1 biggest car secret is that Toyotas are a hoot when driven at 10/10ths. With Hondas it's a little expected, but I've gotten the chance to play with a recentish Yaris, Corolla and Camry, get over the body roll and there's a shocking amount of grip.

And with the exception of the electric parking brake Corolla the pedal dance works on them.
