Custom made by a local exhaust shop for 60 euros, not bad as I have Tomei headers+over pipe and OEM catback which, due to different size, usually creates rasp/rattle when fitted w/free flowing front pipe!
@Interflop yes it could be fitted to any FP

This is a vibrant ultra low noise resonator added to the stock FP and removed the stock tiny one.

jflogerzi what difference the new resonator made to the exhaust note and the overall sound, you have EL headers that usually create more rasp right?

My old hooker black heart midpipe that was catted started to rattle and eventually it was the cat that came loose. Replaced with jdl catted and fine now. Could be the cat. Sometimes the welds break.

Sadly I replaced my loud ass tomie UEL with the JDL 4-2-1 and resonator at the same time. Here is a video of my car on the Dyno. There is no rasp in my mind.

I have that exact same rattle, kind of like a metal rattle snake rattling its tail, on my jdl 4-2-1 el headers I installed last night. I figured it was a leak as well but just torqued everything back down after a few heat cycles today. Rattle stayed, so I feel like you guys might be right.

I have stock exhaust except for the headers. Guess I'll just live with it until I feel like swapping exhausts. Thanks for putting my heart at ease

Yea sounds like it's not really a "problem", you just have to find the front pipe setup that works for you.

why did u switch the oe front pipe resonator with Vibrant? any noticeable sound difference between the 2? how much was it to do it?

thanks

Trying to keep noise down as best I can due to SC and catless headers. 80$ for the resonator and I think it was 40-50$ to weld it in.

I had the same header and it was raspy with all the exhaust setup I've tried.
It could be many things but I would blame uel because all the rasp went away after I changed it to EL.

Just wanted to update on this.

So I went from the JDL Catted UEL to the JDL Catless UEL and the noise became worse. What it came down to was the the Nameless FP/OP's resonator essentially doing its job trying to keep the drone down. I switched to a JDL Ultraquiet Catted/Resonated FP/OP and the resonance went away in exchange for some added drone in the cabin. Turned out to be a non-issue, it was simply the front pipe doing its job.

This is my setup, but I have some rasp. Wonder if it’s my Q300 exhaust that is getting louder overtime.

I just swapped from a stock OEM header to a gutted OEM header and I'm getting this noise as well. Seems like it's only happening when on a drive and not when revving in neutral, though.
