Subaru Warranty Question

I read the fine print of the warranty last night, but I'd appreciate it if a current or recent Subaru owner could confirm what I found. Am I correct that having routine maintenance (not repair) performed by someone other than the dealership does not void the warranty? I know that oil changes don't, but what about the other maintenance items?

You do not have to have a dealer do warranty service in the US as long as you have documentation showing its been done.

FTC information about warranty service.

This.

Also, it is illegal for the dealership to void your entire warranty for one reason. The dealership must prove that whatever reason they have for denying the claim was the reason for the claim in the first place. So if you were to have an oil change place do your oil and they forget to put oil in your engine, the dealership won't warranty your engine. But they can't deny warranty claims for non-related items (i.e. window regulator, wheel bearings, etc) based on that issue either.

Thanks guys. That FTC page is very helpful. I'd assumed that Googling the question would not result in a straightforward answer. Shows what I know.
