Interesting you bring that up. I’ve had that on since day one. I just prefer the verbose mode over the boot logo.

On a whim I left it off after reflashing the bios. Everything else is the same. Now I can’t get it to misbehave. Maybe Gigabyte’s bios has a bug in verbose mode? What? I know this sounds crazy.

I had a Dell XPS that used to take way longer to get through verbose mode than logo mode. It would get hung up on RAID mode, even though I wasn't using RAID. It took about two minutes to get through that for some reason, waiting for something to time out I suppose.

My guess it's ram related. Try bumping up the memory voltage or drop speed down one level.

Ran across this will searching for some reviews on VR games as I'm starting to really enjoy some of the Oculus Quest features. (As an aside, we have 3 in our family and play together relatively frequently. We play mainly things like minigolf, tower defense and beat saber, but it's pretty fun).

Anyway, this company SandboxVR has a same room full body tracking experience for several players using backpack PCs, green rooms, etc. Anyone in their cities (Vegas, LA, Austin, Chicago, Vancouver) had a chance to try it? They have 5 basic games. I thought the "Unbound Fighting League" looked interesting.

As did the Curse of Davy Jones (because, you know Pirates!)

I'm excited but have extremely low expectations. It's EA after all

Any PC Gamers Around?

Update on my bios weirdness. It’s been a week with the verbose post off and not a single failed post. I’m pretty confident it’s solved and it’s literally a bug in the bios. I no longer suspect the ram as the error occurred wether XMP was on or off, and I did a 2 hour ram stress test that showed 0 errors.

Thanks for the pointers guys! I’m happy to have the rig running right again!

Same here. I'm not usually a fan of the sci-fi horror genre but Doom and Dead Space are exceptions.

I think the variety and uniqueness of both the weapons and enemies is what I like about Dead Space. You can't always just aim for the head, for example, as every enemy has a different weak spot. You also have to cycle through the weapons because of ammo restrictions. So different room, enemy, and weapon combination has it's own set of winning and losing strategies.
