I see what appears to be an amplifier on the OPPOSITE side now.

Or is that the CORRECT side on a right-hand drive or JDM model?

There won't be a performance packge for a while. Gotta hold onto that for the mid cycle refresh.

Homelink/auto dim is a port installed accessory for about $350, I ordered my 22 with it yesterday

All the news, images, and videos are very interesting and great fun to see. But I want to both see reviews from auto journalists, and most of all, see and drive one for myself.

Until then, it's all speculation and conjecture.

That's exactly what I told my local dealer when he contacted me after I filled out the order request form. I asked him to reach out when he has something to show me. At this point, he has no idea when that will be.

Browsing around Japanese YouTube they seem to have a lot more content. I found this one showing what appears to be the Sapphire Blue Pearl, also apparently the "base" trim, so you can get a good look at the 17" wheels too. I was curious what the difference would be, but I think I much prefer the darker "matte gray" finish of the 18"s...

Also this is the first one I've seen with footage of the Magnetite Gray Metallic (at around 8:31). I was willing to be swayed away if any of the other colors really stood out to me, but I think I'm sold on it after seeing...

In the first video in the post above, there's too much purple in that darker blue which makes it unappealing, hopefully it is just an artefact of poor video colour balance.

Here's another one with the Sapphire Blue (starting at around 1:55), it does seem to have a bit of a pearlescent effect of looking a bit blue-ish purple depending on the angle and the reflections. The slight purple hues don't really bother me though, I think it looks pretty nice.

It looks like they had a press event at Sodegaura Forest Raceway, a bunch of videos were taken there. There were a handful of BRZ's and 86's in different configurations and colors, along with some last gen for comparison.

And another with the Magnetite Gray (starting at 1:37). My God, it's perfect...

^ The blue does look great in those areas where the sunlight is reflecting directly from it, but otherwise IMO it's too purple. The gray suits this car really well though, maybe better than it did the old one.

Just watched this, that MGM paint just looks gorgeous on this car. Very high quality video.

You could buy the base model and get the Sti 18inch forged on it. Would probably cost the same as the entire premium upgrade haha.

But bronze against that dark blue would look nice.

It does look amazing.

Check the weirdness @4:15 and then the colours on the red GR86 - pretty amazing light from the hip.
