What are they not telling us about covid? Imo theres something not kosher. To go from having it "under control " last week to where we are now doesn't make sense imo.

Uh, once there was community spread detected 3 weeks ago it was pretty obvious that "under control" was totally false

1000 people dead in NYC by end of month minimum. Just follow the numbers in other countries.

Is it really that simple?

Anecdotally, my expat cousin in Rome says their high death rate is due to a shortage of ICU beds, doctors who are becoming increasingly infected, skilled nurses, and a lack of invasive ventilators key to survival of those most critical. Not to mention the delay in closing their borders.

The US on average (not sure about NYC) is ahead in all of those areas per capita unless you watch mainstream media talking heads who know more about makeup and hair than medicine.

Well, I don't know if it's this thread or the other one that matters now.

But a bunch of Bay Area counties have been shut down by the local government. Mandatory "quarantine" for us, we aren't to leave home except for groceries or medicine basically.

Yikes.

Or governor just limited gatherings to 25 and shut down dine in restaurants and bars. 39 confirmed cases here, first death the other day.

Meanwhile in the real world that nobody gives a shit about since it isn't "new".

The MD governor did essentially the same thing. Still have 0 cases of covid-19 in my county, but nothing makes a statement like "I'm shutting down the entire state!"

Well, OK. Your next station is the low crawl. Heads up, NO heads down - the barbed wire can leave a nasty gash in your head. DON'T wander out of your lane, the hand grenades going off in those pits will really hurt you. DO NOT attempt to stand up - the M-60 MG rounds cracking over your head are real.

You may do this upside down if you wish -
