MST Wheels? Good, Bad, Cheap?

Hey guys , happy to be apart of such a great community hopefully someone can share some input on theses wheels. So I'm looking into getting some wheels for the FRS and I really like these red 6 spoke that I came across from MST . I looked around a bit and I couldn't find any reviews on the actual quality of the wheels it's self. Does anyone know anything about them. Are they crap? Or would they be okay for someone who is on a budget. Thanks again -Landon

If you want to know the "nice" stuff, look at the Options and Drift Tengoku magazines. You'll get an idea of what's out there.

Looks like another one of those knock-off brands, quality will be so-so, what kind of a budget do you have?

In my opinion. The number of options listed, means they are a brand new company. The 30 years of experience they list, is probably the owners age.

OK, on to the wheels. Cheap cast copy wheels good for regular street use.

one option... +35 5x100 18x9.5 Not going to fit with out coilovers and camber.

The MT17 comes in 17x9 +35, which is better, but their only other 5x100 that will "fit"

I actually met someone the other night at a small frs meet up within Sonic and I really liked his wheels so I asked him what size were they because the stance looked great. He said that it was stock suspension with 18"x9.5 wheels tire size was 225 with 40 side wall and he had no issues. I was hoping to go with the same setup just different wheels

Honestly I wanted to keep it under $700 ... And was going to just be using it to DD. And occasionally do doghnuts��

If you're going to go with reps, might as well stick with a brand that's been around for a long time, such as Rota or XXR. However, I would just save up the money until you can afford the wheels they're replicating (harder to do with TE37 since those are $$$$).

The reason I say this is because even for daily use, if you frequent rough roads, you'll have a higher chance of bending/cracking/damaging a "cheap" rep wheel compared to their legit counterpart. So replacing them will just add cost, bringing you very close to the legit version.

Another option will be to look at a used set or clearance sets. Those will come close to the price of new reps.

Not TE37's, but since you said you like the 6-spoke design, the 57DR are similar (thinner spokes).

Thanks for all the info and input bro, greatly appriciate it... Next step is saving up more and while that happens I shall start narrowing down my wheel selection, but some reason I'm so attached to all red , have no idea why lol but it's calling my name..
