so you can assign the two pots to different things on different modes

say mode 1 pot A does spark adding/ subtracting, and pot B swings the exhaust cam
then in mode 2 Pot A swings the inlet cam and Pot B swings the DI timing
in mode 3 Pot A swings the fuel target lambda

so you can map the car properly and quickly without having to stop and re-flash it all the time

so you only have to have 1 ROM version with all the pot tuning then when you're done flash back in the road version of the ROM not that much of a hassle really
it's a step in the right direction. but it's not live tuning. and many cars do use the cpc for the flexfuel sensor, and now that we have rear o2 input a lot of guys will be wiring their widebands into there as well.

just seems like a PITA to port everything back and forth between maps.

Awesome. Don't forget to disable the rear o2 trims. Also the evap atmospheric compensation is disabled with the checkbox in RR7 so you should be able to use that one fully as well now.

And in regards to the 5v variable input, you can also use any of the usb battery packs to get the 5v as most aren't doing this on the dyno. Just stick a pot between the spliced wire and what you have going to the aux input. Then with the custom maps you can very cheaply have "live tuning." Since most of those batteries can be recharged with a car 12v plug, you essentially can use it full time as well.

don't worry, i set yours up right . you're also using the new non-usdm atmospheric pressure reading (map sensor based rather than cpc based).

I was going to tell you that on the last log, that Atmo pressure seemed correct, but attributed it to being on E8, great to know

Actual live tuning is now available on EcuTek. No need for CPC or O2 sensor hacks or anything.

Do you actually need to purchase a separate license for it?

I assume it's going to be for Master Tuner dongles, but no extra license needed for that as I have both the GT-R and BRZ live tuning files. Be interesting if anyone with RaceROM (or without) gets the new RR12 eprb files needed. It does state, for obvious reasons, that the live files shouldn't be used on the road.

Hmm. Damn, since I have my own license and there are no ECUtek master tuners, I suppose I'd be unable to participate. Oh well

i ll email ecutek and see if they send the new RR, ihave the racerom license

I think best way to use this would be a dyno but it could definitely be usefull for some things, knock activity in primis for non turbo cars

It comes via the standard ROM Update. Also note on the website under the purchases it's showing as to buy as the Tuning Suite, so I would expect it not to be available to those with RaceROM Upgrades (but I could be wrong). I'm surprised you don't have a tuner dongle given the amount of cars that you do TBH.
