I noticed the same thing only having lived with it for 24hrs so far. Might look at putting matte PPF on it to knock down the glare.

Suede is an option too since uve already added a bunch to the typical silver trim spots.

Replaced both sloppy front hubs. 130K+ miles on them. Next Friday is inner tie rod ends.

What do you reckon made your front hubs sloppy?

Lots of autocrossing/road miles with neg camber and sticky tires I'd bet. Spherical rod ends on some of the front suspension may not have helped.

Finally got around to painting and installing a replacement front fender to start repairing some wall rash suffered back in April.

For having never done any body and paint work, I'm fairly happy. I am going to do the bondo work to repair the original fender and then hopefully apply some of what I learned just painting this one to do a better paint job.
I definitely need to gain a better understanding of controlling the final color when working with pearl white. I know that new paint and old paint will never be a perfect match and I will have to try to blend. However, I think I can get closer to a match by getting the right combination of the number of basecoats and topcoats.

Go fast, take chances.

After almost 12 years I decided to add Winjet fog lights. I purchased them directly from Winjet, $44.99 shipped, no tax. https://winjetinc.com/products/2012-...sy-black-clear Not bad for the price, except the included fog light screws were too short and there were no installation instructions. I'm also not a fan of the glossy loose fitting bezels, and the On-Off switch lights up green. My bad, I should have purchased the amber instead of the clear ones to match the parking and side lights.

I looked at several youtube installation videos. Most sucked, dark, blurry, bad narrative, or incomplete. I did manage to get a few pointers from them on where to run the wiring.

The install was fairly simple. I did not remove the bumper, bottom plates, grill, or fender panels. It's a little bit of a challenge but the lights will fit through the fog light holes sideways from the front. Plug them in, put the metal clips on, insert the 2 tabs on the fog lights in the holes on the bumper, rotate them outward until the 2 screw holes line up, and screw them on.

I ran the wire harness under the air filter housing and zip tied it in 2 places.

I used a red Posi-Tap, Part# EX-110M, https://www.posi-products.com/posiplug.html on the 12V purple wire on the cable used for the OEM fog lights to connect the red wire on the Winjet dash harness. The fog lights will only come on when the parking lights are on.

I may spray paint the bezels satin black with Krylon Fusion paint. Has anyone done this and how does it look?

Hosted our FT86 local club Fall cruise. 27 cars total, cruised up to calabogie motorsports park where I had help from local race shop organizing a parade lap for everyone and passenger rides in their prepped cars.

Finally satisfied my OCD a hose and clamp to secure the exhaust from sliding on the hangers causing misalignment. I have a half day HPDE booked next weekend which will be a good test!
