Beep/Car finder option disabled!?

Hello all,

I recently bought a JDM 2015 BRZ S, but I just want to confirm if AUS and JDM owners to see if your cars beep or horn when locked? I keep finding myself forgetting where I parked at times and there is no car finder function!!!
Also, am I the only one without the Panic button?

Thanks.

It beeps twice but it's configurable by volume through tech stream or a carista dongle.

Welcome from Malaysia

JDMs don't have a panic button, but they do beep upon locking/unlocking. As @Wally86 mentioned - loudness configurable via Techstream.

It can also be turned off, not just turned down. I had that done on mine before it left the dealer the first time.

Mine is EU and it doesn't beep. Can you please point me where this option is in Techstream? Thanks!

Blue "Customize Setting" button on the left.

Then, "Wireless Door Lock" and "Warning" will have most of the buzzer/sound control options.

Thanks, I'll check it, anyway EU and JDM cars and perhaps AU don't have a buzzer for alarm, so IDK if option will be there... @BleedingRust can you confirm your car chirps?

If you mean chirping = beeping, mine is also a JDM 2015 and it chirps

I find it interesting so many want this on. I couldn't get it turned off fast enough.

Not an 86, but it sounds exactly the same.

Any options other than Carista? I already have a Bluetooth OBDII reader and while I don't mind paying a small fee for the app, I'm not a big fan of subscription services.

I won't go so far as to say I love it, but I do appreciate the audible confirmation.

Of course, my last aftermarket alarm, I specifically only connected the siren and not the parking lamps to get the same tone confirmations...

It's at times you're far off the corner and you can't tell whether the car received the lock signal
