It's the best you can get for its price range. To name a few pros...
  • The motor has good force feedback for it's price bracket.
  • You can replace the steering wheel to a larger diameter wheel for more realism.
  • The pedals can be spaced as you want it.
  • Heavier duty pedals. Mostly made of steel.
  • Can upgrade the brake to a load cell.

Sim racing can get out of hand. I know someone that spent over $1k just on the steering wheel.

You should look at sim flying sometime. Stupid crazy money for a decent home setup.

I've not played it but I have read that it is an outstanding example of what a 3d game can be. That is, the 3d-ness wasn't just an add-on.
I just can't be bothered getting goggles for one or two games I might play.

Samsung odyssey+ VR kits are $230 new now, but agreed, $290 for the game + headset is steep, and that's assuming you have a fairly capable rig already.

But I think the experience is worth it. I was blown away by HL1 and HL2 when they came out, but this is on another level IMO.

Have you seen the setup where they bought the real cabin from a (guessing) 747? That's crazy.

Thanks for that. And to everyone else who commented as well. I really enjoyed one and two, and was thinking of grabbing three. Sounds like it's not worth it. They are all a little grindy but if the story sucks then there's just no point.

Horizon Zero Dawn and Witcher III have been pleasant surprises for me. Currently working my way through Witcher III.

I was rather disappointed tbh. I waited a year for Metro Exodus and it was worth it. But BL3 was a real let down. Apparently the original writer of BL2 left Gearbox which is why the writing wasn't as good. But there were a few knick knack things that really rubbed me the wrong way. Mostly a character named Ava.

The twins drove me crazy too. Reminded me of a "Hey Guys!!" youtube video.

Honestly, I bought into them after a bit since they were poking fun at a lot of the stupid "influencers" the Gen Z kids love to watch. So I was annoyed and amused at the same time lol. The 3 things that disappointed me the most were 1. SEVERE lack of Brick, Mordecai, and Tina. Like that is a cardinal sin!
2. Ava. nuff said. I could write a whole page as to why I despised her.
3. Lack of lore continuation for shoehorning some strange girl-power agenda.

I was amused by it at first, but it got old real quick.

Yeah, Ava can take a long walk off a short ledge.

I bought Forza Horizon 4 out of boredom. I am pleased to finally be able to drive the Mazda RX7 Spirit R!! I haven't played a Horizon game since the first and had not seen the Spirit R in any of the Motorsport games since I believe either 3 or 4. Though the Merc A45 AMG is also my love.

There is nothing new here but I did see a couple of things I don't remember seeing before.

But what this clip did do for me is make me realise what a huge game it is both game play and tech.
I am not suggesting this game needs one but Nvidia is supposedly releasing their RTX30*0 cards in August. I am fantasising about said cards even though I probably shouldn't buy one.
The spec increase over the corresponding 20*0 series looks impressive but who knows what it actually means. Info here.

Supposedly 30*0 are going to be a little cheaper than 20*0. I hope so because at one major website I looked at the cheapest RTX2080ti was Aud$1749, the cheapest RTX2080Super was Aud$1089
and the cheapest RTX2070Super was Aud$859.

149 days to go.
