Plus everyone knows the new power plant is the FB18DIT and it only comes with CVT.

There is pictures of this on the interwebs, somewhere....

Every "auto news" outlet was saying Tokyo Motor show this year. lol I figured people would focus on that more than anything. haha.

That looks more like the bumper getting stuck on the headlight; a little force to push it down should snap it back into place and look somewhat better. Had the same issue on mine when trying to reinstall the bumper.

Oooof, that looks like technology transfer from Toyota. Back to a standalone EGR valve with an EGR cooler on a gasoline engine? How very M20A. That pretty much means it'll run an atkison cycle at light loads.

would prob be cool to have the new 86 turn into a hot hatch. like what we all think of when we think of the 86, initial d etc... would prob get more sales for practicality? we wouldnt get the gr yaris here anyway so a sports focused hatch in 86 along side the econobox yaris would make for a good toyota lineup? subaru wagons are practically long hatchbax, would prob fit in with their line up, they dont offer a hatch

hmmm but weve got the new corolla here too.... nvm. ooh maybe eventually theyll get rid of the 86 and integrste it within corolla like they did with the the im when scion phased out

corolla 86 hmmmm

you know im kidding right?

So it would be lost in a sea of bloody "hot hatches"?
Why do you think they want more sales? They are not looking for volume with these. Never were. They said it outright.
If it heads in that direction it will lose the market it was aimed for and only the die hard Initial D crowd will be interested since the market is flooded with cheap hot hatches.
They already integrate the FRS with the rest of the world line up as an 86. The same with the iM since it was always a Toyota everyplace except the USA. Even in Canada it came out originally as a Toyota not a Scion.

To add look at what some major carmakers are doing, Ford is pulling all sedans from the North American market, hatchback sales in general are down, not a good move for Toyota or Subaru on so many levels. Save the sports car I say.
