Smile OpenFlash Tablet: RomRaider parameters for Launch Control and Flat-foot Shift

Now Available

Much thanks for @vgi and @Td-d for updating the XML file. All 700c, 900c, a00c and a01c XMLs have been updated and are downloadable from the OpenFlash Tablet website.

I'll be working on porting FFS and LC to non-USDM 6MT ROMs over the holidays.

Cheers,
shiv

You should post up a quick little tutorial to show how to work this stuff. Us new guys want to learn, but this stuff is a language we don't speak. :P

What is this type of launch control? Is it a true 2-step? I had the Carberry ROM on my last WRX, and I'm looking to eventually have those features again with this car (rotational idle, 2-step, FFS, Anti-lag, etc), and for the time being ECUtek looks like the only viable option for those features: are any of those features planned for the OFT?

sets a stationary rev limiter so while sitting still it will only rev to that RPM. Once moving you can rev to the buttery smooth rev limiter at 7500ish or whatever it is exactly.

I've been waiting on this. I'll give it a try after tax season.

Any updated on tuning any other FI platforms besides the ESC?

Supposedly next month or in March we should be expecting tunes for one or two supercharges, and possibly a CARB legal tune too (although that doesn't matter to you I guess).

SO, if I have an OFT...how do I go about getting this feature to work on my car? Is it in one of the released maps, or is it in the beta maps only? Do you have to modify anything? How do you set the RPM using the OFT, or is that something you have to dig into the file to do? As mentioned above, it'd be great to explain in layman's terms because some of us (ie, me) are pretty noobish when it comes to this kind of thing, but would still really like to enjoy the feature.

By default, launch control is on. Just hold in the clutch and it will rev to (I think) 5600 RPM and hold it there. You can adjust this speed by installing RomRaider and the XML definitions for our cars and modifying the one table. That table is the LC delta which is a value subtracted from redline that will yield your LC speed. FFS is different and must be turned on in RomRaider. To be perfectly honest, skip it.

any thoughts on what RPM is recommended for LC? 5600 seems a bit high. I know it will vary depending on conditions, tires used, power mods etc... maybe people can suggest a baseline setting for a totally stock car, and another for a mildly modded stage 1, and another for a stage 2 car.

So many variables, think your just going to ha e to try it out , maybe start at 4000 so insert 3600 in table 7600 -3600=4000 and then adjust from there, its never going to suit all conditions and road surfaces.

These are built in the current released 1.4x maps or are they in the beta 1.5x maps only?

From memory it was supported in US ROM's from 1.4 and others in 1.5 (cannot adjust in 1.5 as its dev format.
