Braum Seats installed today. Air Bag light / Chime now on annoying mode due to the passenger occupancy sensor not being hooked up. I don't mind the light but that Chime is insane. Ordered Techstream interface and software on eBay to try to disable it. The seats are kind of dissapointing, I was hoping they would be a bit lighter than the OEM seats and not as low as I wanted. I might pull the sliders from the driver's side to lower it. They do look sexy tho!

Worked on a few more mods this weekend. Installed a master cylinder brace and wired up the gauges for the car. Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Trans Temp. The sensors haven't been installed yet, next step is to run the sensor wiring through the firewall. This car is fun and easy to mod, but damn it's a tight space to work in when trying to route wires under the steering column!

Installed the oil temperature and oil pressure sensors using a brass T and adapter for the oil gallery. Pressure works but oil temp is way off (more than 40F) from what OBD is reporting. Will have to relocate the sensors, thinking about using the oil gallery strictly for oil temp and split the OEM oil pressure switch and the gauge oil pressure sensor.

Tomei UEL headers installed along with HKS Overpipe. Holy shit, what a PITA that overpipe was. Thanks to a bolt extractor, cutoff wheel and copious amounts of PB Blaster and some cursing, the swap was completed. Was hoping to get the car ready for this weekend track night, but still a lot of things to button up before the car is ready to race.

Thank you. Working on this car is a blast.

I will get a dyno tune eventually once all the power mods are done. I'm still torn on the Turbo because I'm not sure I want to deal with all the extra heat at the track. For now, just having fun swapping parts getting her track worthy.

It sure is! haha

I've been debating to go boost for the last year or so myself with the same thought. I think if I pulled the trigger I'd go supercharger since it would compliment the existing mods. Either way great progress so far man! Looking forward to your updates

Random thought I had today but seeing your oil cooler setup and your reported temps.

I use the hks oilcooler and it includes a mesh to cut out in the fender liner. This allows the hot air out coming out the back of the oilcooler to avoid heat re-circulation. Might help with getting lower oil temps

I like this. I would just take out the entire fog light insert and cut the wheel well plastic to match. I saw some guys at the track with holes cut right into the bumper and hood for more venting. I'll have to look into some options for that, but for now I want to gather some data on oil temps as I only want to do mods to address issues that arise.

You had a Stark AT tranny oil cooler and didn't use it, how come?

For me, mostly not wanting to deal with leaks and it's a daily. If it was dedicated just for track, I'd evaluate temps before making a decision.

Spent some time buttoning up the car. All sensors relocated and transmission temp sensor installed. Even with the oil temp probe directly in the oil galley, temperature is still off from what OBD is reporting, currently sitting around 30F lower. Picked up a Killer Bee splitter from Limitless Motorsports to install the oil pressure sensor in the same location as the stock sensor.

Picked up a good condition Axleback exhaust from Facebook marketplace. Quick and easy swap, the stock muffler is absolutely massive on this thing!

Having some vibration issue in the exhaust which gives it an obnoxious sound. Troubleshooting

Mini-VCI Cable with Toyota TechStream 16 arrived yesterday. Having some trouble connecting to the vehicle.

I'm running the software inside a Windows 7 32bit virtual machine on VMware Workstation with the USB passthrough into the VM. I hesitate running the software directly on the laptop since MS Antivirus flagged the software for ransomware. If I can't get it working this way, I will have to grab a cheap, used laptop somewhere to run this thing as I don't exactly trust software coming from a random eBay vendor in China. All this so I can turn off the passenger seatbelt chime?

Installed the new quiet Subaru exhaust hangers (44066AJ010) to try to tame the exhaust. It still sounds like ass so the stock muffler went back on.

Rear brakes got Hawk Ceramic brake pad upgrade.

A buddy came over and helped me flush the OE brake fluid and replace it with Motul RBF 600 DOT4

After weeks of sitting on jack stands, she is ready to go back to the track.
