Stay away from this dude!

I just got my 2015 BRZ and with the countless vouches for joey, I've decided to give him a shot to install my CF driveshaft.

Made the appointment two week in advance. When the day came, I went there exactly @ 8pm but only to have him tell me he is "Sorry" but he can't do it that day because he just realize the lift was in use.

Ok... why didn't you contact me earlier to save me a trip? "I'm sorry man"

After that no follow up of any kind from him.

My advice is STAY AWAY from this guy. He doesn't give a shit about customers.

I am not trying to taking sides, but the way you put it doesnt really mean you should stay away from this shop. I have been to his shop once, but never had him work on my 10 series. I know alot of friends who has taken their cars to him and had wonderful jobs done to their cars. This just could of been a bad day for him and he could of just been really busy. I wouldn't judge a shop unless they actually ruined your car in some way, but I do understand why you would be mad because of what occurred.

Sounds like you never ran your own business operations before. It is normal if there are extra busy days that happened in your situation with Joey. After you made your appointment two weeks in advance, did you even follow up with Joey for your appointment to see if everything would be cool? The guy is legit and many people can vouch for him, including myself. end of story.

What kind of logic is that? what is the point of the appointment in the first place if I have to follow up with him to make sure the appointment is set?

I actually do run my own business. I have two restaurant in the Bay Area and this is no way to treat customers.

If a customer made a reservation at my restaurant and I gave the tables away, you can imagine the shit i would get. Same situation here. Not sure why you are defending him.

You are just being a fanboy.

with all the positive reviews of Joey's place (I'm one of those), it is only a matter of time before someone would have a bad experience. No one has a perfect track record. So thank you for your post, and sharing your experience. I'd be mad too if that happened to me. Everyone just be cool it's OK if not everyone loves something or someone. Good to have a balanced and fair thread here, no need to start the defending and calling names over it.

If you really do run your own restaurants then you should know that restaurants ALWAYS make courtesy calls to verify customer reservations. It's to prevent situations like yours from happening.

Yeah that doesn't happen. Clearly you have never made a reservation BEFORE.

Don't let this thread end on a bad note. I plan on going here to get my SS Brake lines and brake fluid bleed soon, off a friends recommendation.
