4 HP is within the margin of error for any dyno ever made.
You lose more than 4Hp on a hot humid day.

The interesting thing about this confirmation is that the Subaru spokesperson said the spec sheet was accurate.
Does that mean the 13.5:1 compression is also accurate? Its an interesting situation. |

You mean "chassis dyno", right? I'd expect an engine dyno in a manufacturer's R&D lab to be that accurate and with their ability to control variables I'd expect they could do repeatable pulls with less variance.

Aren't horsepower numbers usually a little different in different markets because of fuel and emissions? Isn't the ECU different? Sure, they usually issue a blanket power spec worldwide but isn't that not quite accurate? So long as power isn't overstated it's accepted that especially among certain makes(Porsche, BMW) the stated power is not correct.
