I am however also getting bigger radiator, oil cooler, clutch, and I'm hoping my engine will handle track days and still be reliable. If it blows I'll definitely get a built block though.
All of the current rods have the same design. As far as ease of construction it's similar to all subi motors. But the clearance are tighter then the EJ

No stroker possible for safe clearances (or a negligible stroker kit). Also, a stroker would really be useless IMO as they create lower end torque. These are already drift-y burnout type cars that can be out of hand, you don't want to throw another unnecessary 80wtq at 2200 rpm lol (exaggeration...)

Most important, engine/head components which we have en-route, testing soon as well.

These engines are screaming for high revs and high boost applications.

I don't think you're gonna see that out of a 2.0 without super high rpms and cams that ruin street driving. Stroker would just make the engine less stable at higher rpms.

I guess I have high expectations. I suppose I'd settle for 220-230.

230 wheel horsepower would still be damn impressive out of a 2.0L engine (assuming you still wanted it to be easily streetable and have a decently smooth idle).

Really? so i guess s2000's and those all motor 300whp k series cars are not streetable at all eh?

There is a market for N/A in this car however i believe people are too lazy to find it, or the parts are still way in experimental/development stage. it is true the going fi is cheaper but n/a cars will always feel better, be simpler to work on, have better response, and of course will be more expensive lol

The reason a 300kw K series engine is still streetable is because they have V-tec which is 2 camshaft profiles on the one cam. This allows a nice streetable low lift profile for low revs, then a crazy high lift, long duration cam for high revs. In other non-Honda products, this is called a variable lift camshaft which is significantly different to a variable timing camshaft which only allows the camshaft timing to be adjusted.

On a car without variable lift, getting the engine to make a huge amount of power at high revs will sacrifice low end driveability because it requires very high lift, long duration cams which don't work at low revs.

If you were able to get this motor to run while making 300kws, it would be undriveable on the street.
