Need new tires for the spring?

Canadian tire has Extremecontact DWS06 in our stock size for $130 a pop right now. They can't order more in at this price so it's limited to the stock in currently in each store.

Can’t comment on the DWS06 but, I’m rolling on Conti Extreme Sport Contact and they are fantastic DD rubber. Even after 30,000 kl and a half dozen lapping days at TMP they are still good to go in 2021. I will however mount up some dedicated track rubber going forward.

DWS 06 are wicked all seasons.

Im not sure how they compared to the summer only extreme contacts DW, but im guessing performance comes close but doesnt reach max level due to compromising for some winter traction.

Its good for places with unexpected winter spells that can crop up at any time.

I also dont know if its a conti tire thing or a DWS06 thing, but DWS06 sidewalls are noticeably softer than some other performance summer rubber, so it actually makes for a more comfortable DD.

Just to add to this thread, I bought Michelin Pilot All Season 4 (the new ones that come on the corvette) in size 225/45/r17 for lapping in cold weather and they are a great tire. I can consistently run a 1:26-1:27 on them at TMP vs a consistent 1:23 (and infrequent 1:22) on 245 RE71Rs and the wear isn't too bad but you have to be careful about doing too many laps at a time and melting them. I almost feel they are a better tire at 10 Celsius than the primacy is at any temp...
