Site update

I am a bit skeptical. Why the site has not been updated yet with any second generation BRZ images? We still have in the main page the Shooting Brake version that was never released and no update related to the new cars. Are you guys preparing something?

Well this site is now 12 or 13 years old and maybe some of the youthful eagerness of the founders has waned.
The reality of it is that there is not much news to be covered in the main section that isn't discussed in depth in the forum section. Why write up everything a gain when it is all covered already?
Even though this is still a very active forum many of the original founders have moved on to different things. We are down to what appears to be one Administrator, one occasional Moderator and two that are here on a fairly regular basis but not all the time. The others have all been gone for at least a couple of years. No doubt maintaining order (somewhat) in the forum is enough work for those that remain so updates to the actual blog site have gone by the wayside. At least Admin updated the Forum section by adding the new subs for the second gen versions. It shows they at least still care a bit.
In all honesty just how many people ever followed the blog section anyway?

If some people have left or are not that active anymore why not adding a couple of new Admins or Moderators?

Articles? Blog? Whatcha talking about? Is there something other than a forum here?
Who doesn't want to wade through hundreds of pages of 2nd gen speculation to find those sweet sweet nuggets of hard info?

That would be their call. They don't seem interested though.

https://www.ft86club.com/

Go back and look at some of the old articles and see how close some of the "hard info" really was.

Yes there was more content in the past. There were hosted even special interviews like the following:

The difference in enthusiasm is probably to blame. Imagine waiting x amount of years for something to exist, and then founding a site when it does, updating it, rabidly posting info and updates as people buy and find the strengths / weaknesses, set local track record times and determine that the car is amazing, etc.

And then, 9 years after it is official, they add safety features and add power. Not sure anything can compare to the original excitement. I do agree with you that we should have people updating the main page who ARE enthusiastic or have the time.

And have the ability to sort the bull from the truth.

One of the biggest changes is that many of the people here back then had actual contact with Tada so could get the tiny bits of information that he was able to share. He is gone and with that the tenuous link with the project is broken so all there is available are the very limited releases from Subaru/Toyota and the quasi fiction printed by the car sites.
Even back at the start of this forum many, many of the articles were driven by speculation and, rumour and opinion so imagine what they would say now that there is virtually zero connection with a real insider.

All in all we are back to the situation where the little info that is available is already covered in the forum so why duplicate it?

Haha thanks... but I prefer co-admin like Hachi & FT-HS. So we got 3 admins around. 1 do backend stuff, 1 do member stuff & 1 is general admin.

You can be admin of stickers then. Need more shiba racing stickers! Ok, I'll stop being off topic
