So I’ve just read through the entire thread, and it all looks like something I definitely want to do. Sorry if it was obvious and I missed it, I’m just a little confused on what exactly I need to make it happen; obviously I need to source a BRZ or GT86 gauge cluster with the LCD, but what’s the difference between the two? I’ve got a push button start FRS, so I know that the gauge itself will be plug and play; but what do I need to do to get the mileage altered to be accurate? Are those joystick chips still for sale? I think I’d like to run it where the turn key would go. Thanks!

You need only to reflash the ICS93c66 with your corresponding mileage. De-solder the chip on stock cluster, read it and save the image. De-solder same IC on new cluster and write it with saved image of old. Easy. EZP2010 flasher runs very well. You can buy a new IC S93c66 and write directly with image and solder it to new ' 17 display cluster too.

Sounded pretty complex at first but I’ve done enough electrical work I think I can manage. Never heard of the process before, swapping the images sounds easy enough, though I’m a little concerned about damage to the original. So that’ll correct the mileage; what else needs to/can be changed (UI? GT86 vs BRZ cluster?)

so for the milage is stored in a eeprom. you need to find the set of bytes you need to change with a eeprom programmer. make sure you dont mess with other bytes becuase it can corrupt the data. Also, there is a "checksum" check to make sure the mileage is correct. if its not then the mileage wont increment. i do offer it as a service too though if you need to to be able to correct it. That is just for milage.

For the UI thats stored in a different chip. to turn a BRZ cluster to a gt86 one with the UI it needs to be flashed. but a gt86 can be easily switched to a brz one though a simpler way. Oh and the GT86 and BRZ the RPM needle are slightly off. haha well the brz one the line on the very top is a bit off center lol.

Hi all, can anyone confirm if there is a simple way to cancel the TPMS light on a 2107 BRZ cluster fitted to a 2013 car without TPMS?

Is there a permanent solution to stop it appearing or do I need to strip down the cluster and tape over the TPMS light?

No way to remove it. You need a cluster from US versions.

Ok thanks so looks like taping over the light will sort it for now, just need to work out where the TPMS light is on a BRZ cluster.

@geraldjust If you don't mind, what are the resistances needed for the directional pad/back button?
