Got home and clipped the grille back on and good as new! Kind of bummed out as I've only had the car for about 3 weeks. On the other hand, the wood piece didn't fly through the windshield.
Glad you are OK!

That was a close call -

Investigated AC leak.

This means the compressor is bad right?

Just for my own education, how do you know the compressor is bad from looking at that picture?

Refrigerant is leaking from the compressors casing. A seal (or something) has ruptured internally. Was slowly blowing bubbles in that picture

How many miles, and do you run the AC regularly?

Ac compressor (assuming it's original) should have 50,000 miles. I've barely ran it since I just got the car running about a month ago

1. Although not completely out of the realm of possibility, the chance is negligible for failure of a currently-functioning fitting seal.

2. For anything else, that compressor comes out.

That is the problem, compressors like to run.

I've only put a couple hundred miles (if that) on my motor since I got it running so... It's not like I had a lot of opportunity. Once I got refrigerant in it, I started using it right away, and consistently. Weird thing is, I ran vacuum on it with no leak. Twice. Still leaked out

Had a leaking front strut (OEM so almost 7 years old and 50k+ miles), so went ahead and put Bilstein B8s all around. Should've just done it when I put the TRD springs on a few months ago, but who doesn't love doing things twice (Three times if I count replacing the upper mounts a while back)?

Gave it a wash and wax and took it for a casual drive. It’s amazing how many looks you get with a freshly waxed car.

A Porsche tried to race me. I didn’t want to embarrass him so backed off
