No, I use an amazing sealant...far better than Opticoat. Even so, it won't prevent scratching like you're claiming here and neither will Opticoat. They each will help prevent against very small surface scratches but if something sharp or abrasive touches these panels there is nothing you can do. People get so hyped about that product thinking its "protecting against rock chips" and other dumb claims that just isn't possible by any type of sealant or wax.

As far as the water test goes, I'd take that challenge any day of the week. My car and its paint are meticulously maintained.

Yeah, they said they were unable to do it. Apparently you have to heat UD carbon for some reason. IDK
