Unhappy Dent on the rear

So, this dumbo a.k.a me was very sleepy and was backing up to park but didn't notice I hit corner of a very obvious pillar beside my parking slot. So now I have this dent.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you in advance for the help.

It happens man; don't feel bad about it. Mine joined the traffic maybe half a year ago; yet there is a deeper impact on it which I don't bother or intend to repair. It's a great everyday use car.

Cheers..

Blow dryer on high may allow you to pop it back out. Heat it up and then push gently on the raised sections around the dent to push the plastic back out. Will still leave a mark but not as noticeable. May need to sand down the damaged paint on the bumper cover and touch up with a paint stick. Again still noticeable but better.

That's not a dent, THIS is a dent! -

Hey, I hear ya.

You might try pouring hot water on the area and pushing it out. Or buy a suction dent puller thing, pour hot water over it and see if you can suck it out.

OR, contact a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) dude and have him make it better.

What did I do? I tried the hot water and dent puller thing, but I couldn't get a suction grip on it. I checked with a body shop and they wanted $1,000 to replace and spray the rear bumper.

My next move is to contact a PDR person to see if they can fix it. I'll do that right after my nap - yep, I've been saying that for two months now. -

Yours is actually easier to fix than theirs. Blow dryer and reach up and push.

The difficulty is that you can't "reach up" and get to it -

Pull some clips in the bottom corner and pull edge of cover up and reach in.

You can try to push the small indent out a bit after applying some heat as tcoat mentioned. Most of that damage is paint work related. A touch up pen will make it look good from 5 feet. Beyond that a perfect fix is a new bumper skin and paint. Pearl would be a bitch to try and match on a small section like that.
