Can I use Motul 300ls on transmission and differential

I ordered Motul 300ls without doing my research. My question is what do you guys think bout using it on my transmission and diff. I honestly don't feel like returning that's why If I can use it with no issues I'd rather do that.

Thanks

You can use it for the rear diff. I wouldn't recommend for the trans.

You *can*, but I'd recommend you hold onto it and get regular Gear300 for the trans.

The oil won't go bad sitting on the shelf.

I just put the Gear 300 in both transmission and differential a week ago. HUGE difference, and holy crap at the shavings in the differential at 18k miles on the magnetic drain plug. I'm sure my car thanked me for that swap. Every shift feels so smooth, power delivery even feels a lot better throwing between gears.

Highly recommend everyone does this. Well worth it, and a very simple task with a lift.

I would not but the friction modified oil in the transmission personally, either return some of it or hold onto it.

I put the regular Gear 300 in both the trans and diff at 1k miles, my rear diff pretty much stop binding entirely when cold vs the stock fluid. Trans also shifts better.

I can't believe my eyes when I saw how dirty was the oil when I drained out the factory oil. Seriously +1 for this recommendation!

Gear300 works in both the trans and OEM Torsen differential. I wouldn't recommend the Gear300LS for the trans, but it'll work in the diff.

I just place my order of the Gear300, will be change it soon. I had 26K on my brz now and it is still running stock fluid. I think it is time to change it.
BTW..how often do i change the fluid?? 15K, 20K???

most maintenance schedules are 75k between changes.

We suggest 30k for most street driven applications. For tracked cars 1x a season is a good idea.

For street cars, every 30k.

For lightly tracked cars, we recommend once a year, or every 15k.

If you're tracking heavily, then we recommend you get a used oil analysis done to determine your interval, but the common "safe" margin that is often used is every oil change. Remember, the differential is thousands, the fluid is less than 1% of the price of a differential.
