Exclamation 2013 frs, attmepted repairs to fix gas leak, ended up worse than when i started

I'm at around 3 months of ownership and I'm close to just giving up on this platform.

i posted a thread a while ago discussing the engine failure I was experiencing within the first month of purchasing.
this required a new short block and oil pan.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SINCE the installation of the new short block I've experienced a slew of new problems listed out here:

1) dealership rewired in the VIPER remote start incorrectly, causing the main fuse to blow, leaving me stranded, twice.

2) experiencing an audible and smell-able gas leak after turning the car off

3) as a result of trying to diagnose and repair the gas leak, I'm now dealing with rough idling and intermittent loss of gas pedal response
__________________________________________________ __________

what I know :
-the leak is coming from, the hose located under the bottom left hose of the intake manifold
__________________________________________________ ___________

what was attempted:
-got a mobile mechanic to come out and try to diagnose/fix the leak
-disconnected all intake hoses
-disconnected negative battery terminal
-disconnected ECU
-disconnected the fuel line covers to gain access to the area leak appears to be coming from.
-disconnected throttle body
- removed bolts holding the intake manifold down
__________________________________________________ ___________

what leads to the nightmare situation I find myself in:

at about 7 hours into the job, my mechanic, with everything described above disconnected and removed, jumps up and goes "OH SHIT I FORGOT MY SON HAS A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT!!" and just leaves. this was 2 days ago and last I heard from him, he's 2 states away, with my obd2 scanner, doing a different job.
__________________________________________________ ___________

SO...
my brother and i did our best to get everything reconnected, and to our credit, the thing starts, runs (kinda), and turns off ALL WITHOUT CATCHING ON FIRE (i consider this a win) ((my wife does not))
__________________________________________________ ___________

I now have a car that bounces between 1-2k rpms at idle, randomly loses power and/ or gas pedal response, and is overall, a gigantic fucking headache.
I'm going to buy a new scanner in the morning and will update with specific codes.

any advice for solutions?
I'm at my wits end with this car and I just need to get it functioning again and really don't have the resources to pay another $8,000 to Atlanta Toyota to have it "fixed" again. any help is appreciated and i hope you are all having a better day than I am

Yes, start by posting the codes your car will be giving you.

Codes will be the best start. AND, was that leak under the intake manifold ever addressed when it was put back together?

Just remembered I never closed this thread out, turns out the leak was from a bad injector. And the slew of codes I got thrown was from not tightening down an ECU amounting bolt enough. Tightened it down and thing ran perfectly

Glad to hear things finally worked out for you. I'll admit, it's never fun trying to fix a problem cause by the previous owner... That's why I would never buy a modified vehicle.

The real question remains, did the mechanic come back and return your scanner??

Found out a few months back he’s in prison now. Cut my losses, bought new scanner
