newb question: Are stainless steel brake lines legal for C Stock/C Street? I would like to do most of the AutoX events in my region this year as well as a couple of HPDE's. Would like to go to the SS brake lines for safety and feel purposes. I am leaving the car stock other than tires, pads, and fluid to stay in C Stock/Street.

Stainless steel brake lines aren't legal for our cars.

Not legal and not needed. No point with the quality these days. With good fluids and pads, my pedal feel stayed solid after 4 20 minute Sebring runs on a 100F day.

And do camber bolts, if even if you nothing else to the car. Better handling with the front camber and much better tire wear. No downside as they are $10 and just need an alignment afterwards

So does anyone know what new tires will debut this season? I was at SEMA and there were no new ones there. I was curious I'd Hankook would have a RS3 replacement and if Kumho was going to bring the V720 street tire. Unfortunately neither did.

Technically not legal, however, unless you are planning on doing any national events, I wouldn't worry about it.
After driving a few of these cars, I don't think the lines will help much with pedal feel though, I've been very impressed with the brakes in this car.

As far as safety, I know there have been multiple failues of s2000 OEM brake lines, and one member was killed a few years back. It's been speculated that because the cars are getting older, the OEM lines can't handle the heat cycles very well, and fail at the crimp connection. SS lines were one of the first things I did to my S. Safety first.

Reverted the offset rules to +/- 1/4" rule (6.35mm) as the new rule for +/- 7mm isn't for another year

Looking through this thread I don't see much about alignments. What rear toe settings are most people using? What is the rear toe set at typically from the factory?

Really the only thing you will be adjusting is toe on these cars. Everyone should be max-ing front camber (-1.2° to -1.5°) and rear camber is fixed.

From the factory the rear toe setting on my BRZ was surprisingly almost 0. Right now this is approximately what I'm running (going from memory - I'll have to try to find the sheet):

Front: 0 toe
Rear: ~+0.125° total toe-in

It is still fairly pushy with this setting, but I also haven't installed my Konis yet. I may try 0 toe all around.

Of note, the car I drove at Nationals had more rear toe-in than I do, but I don't know the exact spec.

I cannot remember exactly, but I was running slight toe-out for the front and slight toe-in for the rear. I like extra turn-in, but I will probably go closer to 0, though still have some toe-out for the front and toe-in for the rear this year.

I'm running .1 toe in on each side (.2 total). Considering backing off to .05 (.1 total). Also thinking about adding .05 toe out up front (currently 0 toe front)

Well, here's some consolidated info from previous posts, etc:

Stock rear toe was 0.14 deg L, 0.18 deg R - only ran this for a few events in 2012 with the only other change being the front alignment at max camber (~1.5 deg each side) and zero toe. Felt loose to everyone who drove it. This was on 225/45 AD08's.

Added the Cusco 20mm bar, kept front alignment settings, added a lot of rear toe to 0.26 deg L and 0.27 deg R (almost 1/4" total) - still on stock shocks. This felt ok to me but maybe just a little loose. I ran it this way for most of '12 on the 225/45 AD08's. At nats '12 on Trev's Z1's, Trev found it looser than he liked and we went pretty extreme on the tire pressures to compensate. It was good enough for Trev to take RTR T5.

Post nats, I bought my own 235/40 Z1's and I backed the rear toe off to 0.11 deg L and 0.12 deg R (~3 32nds of an inch total) - no other changes. This felt a bit more neutral.

Added off the shelf koni's and swapped the Cusco for the Strano bar - no other changes. This felt good to me all '13 with minor tweaking of the koni's depending on the site/conditions on both 'leftover' 235/40 Z1's and then 235/40 ZII's. Rexpelagi had to quickly adjust to the settings and 235 ZII's, but ended up RTR T2.

No changes since then, but I may try a touch of front toe out this spring and maybe a rear toe setting somewhere between 3/32" and 1/4" - I feel like I have to try something since it seems our competition will be getting quicker!

Fugly, but dirt-cheap wheel option for someone in Florida. IIRC, these are about 15-16lbs.

You can use 16x7, 17x7, or 18x7 with offset between +42 to +54. At that point it comes down to tire size availability.
