Carbon driveshaft and short shifters
Do you know of a carbon driveshaft that's compatible with short shifters?
I have a JDM TRD short shifter on mine... Thanks! |

The mounting and install of a drive shaft and a short shifter are unrelated. If you have an MT, you need an MT drive shaft. If you have an AT, you need an AT drive shaft. They are not the same.

To his credit, there are known issues with aftermarket driveshafts and short throw shifters. I don't have an answer for him, but I wanted to posit that there are known installation issues

I have oem shifter with an aluminum Drive Shaft Shop shaft and have no problems. My U joints were bad and it seemed the logical to go with an upgrade. IMHO I did not see a huge advantage in going with carbon fiber.

I have a DSS aluminum 3" as well. How long did it take for the U-joints to fail? did you just replace them yourself with a U-joint remover fixture
