They had a press release a while back that it was in development, but not really any official confirmation of a model actually coming out of that and being close to production.

IMHO, the facts that it is hosted on the main corporate web site, the web site states it is going to be premiered this fall, and the web site allows you to sign up for updates all confirm it is legit...

That said, plans could obviously change if something major interrupts the plan, but this close to the premier I think it is very likely we will see the new model premier in the next few months

1st gen 86 sidmarkers had a certain charm about them. especially the aftermarket ones... these, not so much it seems. also is a nice subtle sign of aftermarket support when you've got like 3 million different kinds of side markers to choose from

These don't necessarily look worse. It seems almost as if they "doubled" up on the side markers, as in, it is nice twice as large. And the aftermarket support on this will jump right in as per usual.
