Me like car...... 50 words or less
Me like car. Built for curves like cavewoman. Powerslide best. Newer models "not as much". Balanced like me on stick. Makes me want to beat cavewoman over head in joy.

You read my mind
Quote:
One of the reasons I chose the Rousch Mustang over the ZL1 Camaro is it's Coyote Engine. The Coyote revs to the 7000rpm redline in such a linear fashion and pulls up at the top of the rev range. That's similar to the FRS. Chevy LS engines have more bottom end, but the Coyote once you're at 3000rpm..... just stick it to the floor and HOLD ON. It's cool that feeling of surge in the high RPM range, can't get enough of it. I live in Florida now and the roads are glass smooth. It allows the high revving cars to reach the redline without hitting a bump. What a difference compared to my move from the Jersey Shore. Most roads had my modded Maxima feeling like a Jeep. Living close to all the racing here at Daytona has brought me to a culture of motor heads. I'm about 50 miles north in St Augustine. I had a choice of this area or San Diego to retire. I used to live out there in San Diego every winter surfing. I think I made a good choice moving to Florida. The people as a whole and the police respect "Car Guys" and all the noise and fun that goes with it. And you can mod your car to the nines. California law enforcement still has problems with custom cars and noise. Impounding a car and losing it is scary. But talk to me in the summer and I'll tell you how freaking hot it is in Florida. I get excited when I hear from people my age still having fun. Kick me if I fall down and I'll get back up. |

Started with a light blue '69 Camaro in high school. Then a '74 Fiat X 1/9, '80 Camaro, '89 MR2 which was replaced by this awesome '13 FRS. I'm 57.

Jurrasic Park lets me out of my paddock every few days to drive my FR-S. Retired 8 years ago at 60, so you do the math. Not going to bore you with a long back to when I was younger story since most of the youngsters here don't have the patience to read more than 2 lines. Must be a texting thing. 1964 red MGB - bought used, my college car, great ride but a rust bucket and a mechanical nightmare and them damn SU carbs, 4 speed manual 1990 red Ford Probe LX with a 3.0 L "Vulcan" V6 engine, not really in the "sports car" class, 5 speed manual, quick but way too much body roll in the corners. Drove it for 8 years and then passed down to my son. Had my eye on a Miata for many years until I test drove a FR-S in 2013. Found a red (must have a thing for red) pre-owned certified used 2013 in March 2014. It was advertised as a manual but was an auto. Best auto I have driven. |

Damn...I knew that I forgot something. I totally forgot to get rid of the MGB when I bought this new black car! That piece of shit has been haunting me since 1978. |
