Question Camaro for FR-S

is it weird that i want to sell my camaro for a fr-s? i use my camaro as a daily driver and im kinda thinking the fr-s will do better on gas since its way smaller and still has good power for those fun times haha

im getting kinda annoyed at the size of the camaro. i have seen the fr-s up close in a parking-lot and its so compact i like that aspect of it a lot.

I don't think it's weird. When I traded my truck, I looked at a camaro. Had headers, V8, exhaust was a manual. At the time I couldn't drive it, I learned manual on a BRZ, but my dad drove it and it seemed fun. The thing I hated about the camaro is while the power was fun, it was huge and bulky. I came from a lifted truck, the camaro felt as big. I saw the BRZ on YouTube, went to a dealer. That night i made a deal with them and haven't regretted it since. Not the most power in the world, but it's a very fun car. My mileage is pretty good too. Better than the 8 I got in my truck.

That is a nice looking Camaro but I, personally, would rather have an FR-S than a Camaro. I got over torque and 0-60 times a long time ago. There is just too much mass in the new Camaros.

Go test drive an FR-S. That should help you make a decision.

I traded my '10 Genesis coupe in on the BRZ because I wanted a smaller car with better gas mileage. They were pretty comparable in power, though. You will see a significant drop in kick and engine sound.

I would recommend carmax. They are pretty good for trade ins. At worst you can use that as leverage at the dealer. If yours has the V8 you are gonna think the twins are slow. If its a V6, get rid of the camaro. I remember driving the V6. What a slow boat it was. Also how much city vs freeway do you drive. With Sticky tires I am getting about 25MPG average with 65 city/ 45 freeway. But I agree go drive one. Plenty out there. Find a 2013 so you can really test drive one.

Where are you in CA? If you want we can meet up and I can give you a ride in my FRS. Stg2 Tune and aftermarket headers and Exhaust. Give you a good idea of what you can expect with bolt ons on NA. If you can drive stick, maybe I would let you drive the car for a bit(depending on what vibe I get from you) Just an offer.

The BRZ is much smaller and gets 30mpg vs. 23mpg with the Genesis. Really adds up when you put 16-18K mi. a year on your DD!
