anyone got any good suggestions for a good radar detector?

I havent ran a radar detector since hichschool. I try my best to keep it "down" as much as possible lol. (waze has really good reports on accidents to keep me out of thick traffic wink* wink*)

Running my ol' trusty Escort Passport 8500 for about 10 years now. No tickets in all that time. It was like an off switch for getting tickets really. When this one goes,
I will probably get the Escort Passport Max2 as they always are rated at the top of the lists for effectiveness. A radar detector is part of the solution for no tickets though. Being more aware of your surroundings and having more driving experience helps more than a detector. The more you are on the road the more you get a feel for when and where the popo will be waiting for you. It becomes a sixth sense almost. I rarely get popped with a radars signal if I am driving over the limit now. Of course those few times it does happen, I have decreased speed well before they have a sightline on me.
