The one that doesn't have blue and red lights flashing is the best one.

Legal in Alberta but better not bring it into Ontario or it cost a fortune if caught.

I think the combo is great, the V1 is a great backup, when the LEO hasn't been reported on waze, or they are driving.

Now I know whenever I make my cross country trip there to toss it in the trunk.

I havent ran a radar detector since hichschool. I try my best to keep it "down" as much as possible lol. (waze has really good reports on accidents to keep me out of thick traffic wink* wink*)

Another vote for the V1. It's a fine piece of tech.

Running my ol' trusty Escort Passport 8500 for about 10 years now. No tickets in all that time. It was like an off switch for getting tickets really. When this one goes,
I will probably get the Escort Passport Max2 as they always are rated at the top of the lists for effectiveness.
A radar detector is part of the solution for no tickets though. Being more aware of your surroundings and having more driving experience helps more than a detector.
The more you are on the road the more you get a feel for when and where the popo will be waiting for you. It becomes a sixth sense almost. I rarely get popped
with a radars signal if I am driving over the limit now. Of course those few times it does happen, I have decreased speed well before they have a sightline on me.

Get a jammer. Usually by the time your radar detector goes off, it might be too late.
