First time drifting

Took my FD out to try some drifting, I was pretty bad but it was fun. Blew out a tire doing donuts and missed a few sessions, and the gopro died before I was doing complete runs. Anyways heres the video I put together

That FD sounds so good. You had fun and that's all that counts. You were certainly improving towards the end.

I'm actually faster around the track in the FRS but that is because I drive it alot harder than the rx7. But, driving the rx7 puts a bigger smile on my face . They both are great in the handling, but the rx7 has much more power and wow factor once you get into boost.

It does cost you a small fortune to Upkeep the Rx7...isn't it ? Vs the FR-S ?

Yes, alot more. which is why I feel alot more comfortable driving the FRS like I stole it and take it a little easier on the Rx7

Also working on an LS1 S14 that will strictly be my track beater

yeah... high boost, low speed "power-on" drifting is hard to control

much easier to do this in the FRS

Unless your running uber grip 245's like most on this forum.

But of course, different driving styles. I digress...

It was my first time so I ran the stock 16's with 195's. Couldn't justify the cost of running my normal 10.5's in the rear knowing I was going to spend half the day doing donuts, but I could see the wider tires saving me a few spinouts.
