Garage
I am very, very annoyed with the guy starting a thread about how he totalled his car.
(names and links are not necessary, this is a general/principal rant.)

He says he's got "headers, over pipe, intake, crawford bpb, pulley kit, shocks, chasis brackets, carbon driveshaft, catback exhaust" and "waiting for supercharger".
And then he drives way to fast on wet highway so he hydroplanes and crashes into geography.

Obviously very relived nobody was hurt in the crash, but there can be no doubt he would benefit far more from learning basic driving skills than from all that stuff he put in his now totalled car.
I am annoyed because he doesn't seem to realize this even after surviving a high speed crash.

I was going to comment in that thread saying why that thread should not even exist but held my tongue. It's even worse on the "enthusiast" fb page. One person posted admitting he went balls to the wall on an unknown road and flipped his car, landing on the side.

Wise advice I received (and see) from more experienced drivers on here and spread to others is driver's mod. That should be the first mod people do on this car - whether that's general seat time, auto-x, track, etc.

It's funny how people say this car is underpowered but can't handle the power when a turbo or supercharger is added.

Some can't handle the power stock yet still target some high HP number that the read or were told they "need" for the car to function.

I personally like that thread being here. It gives something to point to when the "needs more power YO" crowd gets vocal. Mind you the message would be lost because "I have been driving for 8 whole months now so F&F here I come" attitude will make them say "not me". Still make me feel better for pointing it out though.

SC/turbo is definitely not needed for almost everyone but it sure is fun.

That's why at least the first season, I will be focusing mostly on driver mod. Nothing power or suspension is touched.

Oh no doubt. For those that can handle it. For those that can't it can go bad real fast.
