Disable Turn Signal DRL?

Is there a way to turn off the amber DRL, except for turn signal use?

I don't really want to buy switchbacks, I have another plan for something there, but until I end up buying it, I just want to disable the amber.

I haven't really looked at the wires, but I'm assuming there's two wires? One that controls the turn signal, and one that controls the DRL right? So technically, I could just snip one of the wires?

Yes you could disable the parking light circuit by removing the pin by the connector that's on the headlight frame.. Or at the light bulb connector itself but you would have to wrap it in tape since it's still going to be live when the parking lights/headlights are on.. I'll also be getting your DRL mod made up and shipped out Monday.. Would be a good time to do this mod.. I'll try and remember to grab the wire color when I have the bumper off to install my supercharger Sunday.. I can't recall if it's the red wire or green wire

From what I'm reading, it's the green wire.

But awesome, I appreciate the DRL mod

You could also just replace the bulb with a single filament bulb. 4440 are the ones I believe. If you do the lights only come on when you signal. I think that's what you're trying to achieve if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: this is for an frs. Not sure if u have a brz...

disco the green pin from the plug, and tuck it into the black insulator.

We have LED bulbs that are single filament and operate in the turn signal mode with the marker light mode disable. This would not involve any modifications to the OEM connector or wiring (we try not to modifying any OEM components if we don't have to)
