-I'm a full time student

-I've been leasing the FR-S for 7 months

So a few days ago I rear ended a car and caused 7k worth of damage to my love. Insurance is fixing the car but I will have to get my own insurance. I've gotten quotes at around $800 per month! As a student, I can't afford to pay over $1100 per month to drive this awesome car. Since this car is leased, what options do I have? I can't imagine working all summer to buy a POS Civic and still pay $300 per month for liability. I'd appreciate any kind of advice.

Sounds like you need an invention we call the bicycle. Might I suggest adding the training wheels option, since it is obvious that you have no spatial awareness and/or caution.

You are irresponsible, your actions prove that, and your desire to bring this circus to public display on the internet shows your lack of common sense.

You have a long way to go son. and you're not off to a very good start to your life.

You can work as hard as you want, but your piss poor judgement is going to torpedo any benefits gained by busting your ass...

In fairness to the OP you can do over 9k damage at 15mph or less. This is proven from my NO Fault wreck back in Feb. Not saying he wasnt speeding but it doesnt take much to crumple the car, and parts aint cheap.

To the OP, you might want to consider selling your FRS and get an econobox for a few years.

Congrats, you are a hard worker. BUT, you also suck at explaining all these past issues, which you are getting the end result of now.

Also, to the sentence I emboldened: Too bad the car didn't have a nice reliable driver. Also, the '91 Camry was a bulletproof car. Granted, its a 22 year old car now, not many remain. But at least you wouldnt be getting flamed for being a reckless driver in that as opposed to a car that the majority of owners here love.

Well let's see Joetheegyptian, it couldn't possibly be that you are not responsible enough to drive a vehicle on the road based on your driving history. Your accidents and tickets in the last 3-4 years proves that you just reckless behind the wheel. By you having an accident drives up insurance premiums for everyone but you wouldn't understand that. You can't expect anyone on the forums to feel sorry for you since you drive irresponsibly.

You might as well stare at your FR-S in the driveway until you have to turn in the lease.

The insurance company has realized your inability to learn from your mistakes. Stupidity is a hobby that requires lots of money. Just go ahead a drive without insurance, we all know you are going to anyway. Just DO NOT smash anyone I care about.
