Oh I agree, as long as the consequences are sized to fit the crime. Not sure that is the case any longer. Most of what I may have been involved with caused little real damage or money to undo. I'm also not saying I did a LOT of pranks, most of the stuff I was involved with was more like "what were you thinking" type actions than real pranks.

I've found myself slowly drifting towards the James May "I don't like old cars, its time to move on" club. I would really like a MODERN car that looked like a '69 Camaro SS/RS or an '85 Toyota MR2, but I don't think I want an original one any longer.

I think they are cool, just not really a car that has ever interested me that much. Which is kinda funny cause even a second gen performance wise is a pretty good car. I've just never really been interested in them

My BRZ just isn't that fun on the street anymore unless I am being an ass. I'd just like something simple, fuel injected, that is DD'able if a want, and has low limits if I want to do a fun drive without worrying about speeds getting dumb. But I also want that nostalgia box ticked. I won't have a particularly long commute when I get into my new place, about 22 miles, and it can be all twisty backroads if I want. I also don't need this to be a reliable comfortable car for day to day, I have other vehicles for that. Edit: Oh, and I have never seen Initial D

Hah, yea, me either. Well, not completely true. I did watch the first couple of episodes of it when I first got the MotorTrend streaming service (now unsubscribed).
The problem was it was in Japanese and subtitled. I have never mastered the art of watching a subtitled show and actually WATCHing it rather than reading it. What I ended up doing was making up the story in my head as I watched the video and ignored the subtitles. So, it ended up being as if the show was about Japanese Americans who lived in the Southern US, and sounded like they were on "Kazoku of Hazard" complete with Southern accents. It was entertaining but I think a lot was lost in translation. (hope that isn't racist, it was the closest thing I could think of to "Duke" in Japan).

As for the Ini-D, you watched it, great. You didn't watch, great. Don't think, it's a gearhead bible vid, but def worth watching it once and call it good... skip love and drama part. Hell just watch the trilogy movies will cut to the chase. |

My cousin bought a restomod 62 corvette. current suspension and engine. Easy to start and drive around. Kind of the best of both worlds. Problem was it was not high performance and it cost a bundle.
Still a fun drive around. |

My aunts second husband has his Belair setup as a budget resto mod. Retro air, power steering, power brakes, replaced carb with one of the FI tech fuel injection kits. It still over heats in slow traffic though. He needs to get a better fan setup on it but it is a pretty cool driver.
