Track Pads and Fluids for a Trackcross???

So I wanted to get your thoughts.

So I have XP10 and 8's Motul 660 that I was gonna throw on this weekend ahead of the Trackcross event on the 15th of May. Then I got to thinking... Is it really necessary to put full on track pads and high temp fluid yet for a Trackcross?

Granted I've never done a Trackcross but doing one lap with long breaks in between I would imagine your brakes would never really heat up enough... But again... I've never done one.

Should I just throw the brakes and fluid on now or wait for my next HPDE which is on the 17th of June?

I autocrossed my XP10's a few times, they're good, you'll be happier to have them and not need them then not have them and then need them. I've faded some spongy street pads at high speed hot summer autocross. It will really depend on how the track cross is set up.

Fresh fluid never hurts and it's not that expensive, waiting a month won't mean much if you flush yearly/in the off season. If you cook the pads you'd probably cook the OE fluids as well.

I've never needed anything other than off-the-shelf name-brand parts-store DOT4 or DOT5.1 in any car i've tracked, including ~550hp 6.8 liter FD...

Might as well run the track pads if you have them, I've never run factory pads on my BRZ at the track but magazine tests have complained about them (Lightning Lap one year?). IMO better to run same pads front/rear on this car, but not a big deal in this case I don't think...
