I've never been to Utah that I can remember. Interesting facts...

"the Berg All-Bottle™ 704 liquor control system, measures out liquor into your cocktail. Bars and restaurants are required to use them for the primary liquor in a drink. The Berg counts the number of shots poured along with metering out a precise amount of booze — 1.5 ounces. You may notice cocktails here don’t have quite the same kick as they do in some other states"

Swap for Dot4 brake fluid, buy an SA2015 helmet and go do track days.

Buyer accepted my counter offer which was to move closing back a week. They originally wanted to close 3/26. I wasn't even planning on listing the house for another week or two so now is the mad crunch to get everything done.

Here is to no sleep for the next month

I'd spend some time doing that before investing in more mods. You will get hooked and then really learn what you want to change. I'd imagine you will likely want to go to tires/wheels and then a more trackable suspension package. Doing too much too soon will mask some of your driving habits you may want to adjust. Nothing will teach you how to smooth out your inputs like mushy stock suspension with a stickier tire.

Totally this (granted I've only done one HPDE and one autox-style day). But best thing to do with this car is just grow with it, rather than doing too much to it randomly.

Also I need to do more HPDE's/track days.. Maybe after I move this month.

Problem is I'm scared of driving Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca since neither have great run-off areas. But Thunderhill is like 3 hours away, which means staying at a local hotel overnight _and_ it's super hot there in the summer.

My favorite NW tracks are 3 hours for me, makes for a sucky day when you blow up an engine on lap two though. It is 10.5 to Thunderhill, was totally worth the drive.

House loan stuff almost done. Had and option to do 10%DP or 5%DP. After long call w loan officer, decided to go w 5%DP, buy down interest rate & buyout PMI. Difference in monthly payment was $24 more than 10%DP, but closing cost, saved +$28k.

Appraisal is done. Now wait for underwriter to approve and get the closing date.

Although I'm temporarily a bit scared off.

Last week I took Friday off and went on my usual route. I was going at a pretty good pace behind two chopper motorcycles for a while, and then they started dangerously passing traffic.

And then suddenly on one of the last blind corners before Alice's (the restaurant we've talked about in here) I had to stomp the brakes because one of the motorcyclists had just hit a jeep in the opposite lane probably 20 seconds or so before I turned the corner (a reminder when driving backroads to never hit the gas till you can see behind the disappearing line).

But yeah, that bothered me a bit and it's been on my mind most of the week. Might stay off that route for a couple weeks.

Ah, that's even worse.

Yeah Thunderhill is pretty great! Just means planning better and probably taking a day off work to make it happen.

F that. I won't ride with certain people because they tend to do dangerous shit and I want no part of it. There is a huge difference between having a spirited ride/drive and people being goons. Ruins it for us all.

Somehow that math doesn't seem to add up if both were the same duration loans, but I've never had PMI so...

What @NoHaveMSG said. I strongly suggest swearing off the toe-gay altogether. Not judging. My past shit stinks but I quit while I was ahead. Too easily goaded into asshole behavior in group drives. Even then, I started insisting on bringing up the rear for safety's sake.

Track's the only place to stretch one's legs. I'm looking forward to this summer!
