New SCCA T4 build in the Northwest

New build thread coming.

I think I will do mostly a pictorial. Great freinds rice_classic and Totemo_Hayai have done the build threads and I am pushing the easy button and copying what they have done.

Starting here . Hoping to be at my cage builder next weekend.

The weekend after the car arrived.

A little more work to do removing the rest of the firewall insulation and then off to Advanced Auto Fabrication in Spokane to install the roll cage.

I can't wait to see the cage AAF builds. I think once it's back from the cage builder, it can be race ready, SCCA legal and dyno tuned before the end of Feb.

A little more work completed to get the car ready for the cage install. Waiting on the seat rails to show up so we can seat location correct before installing tubing. I order the rails on the 4th and just got shipping info that they should arrive on the 21st.

The dash is out and and firewall insulation has been removed. Looks like I will be delivering the car to AAF on Christmas Eve.

Had to deal with some unexpected wiring.

Turned out to be an security system. I'll research it and maybe it could go on my daughters BRZ.

More go fast bits have arrived.

Jackson Racing oil cooler

Rules required Eibach springs.

Verus throttle pedal spacer and Cusco pedal extension installed. Much easier before the cage and seat are installed.

Good thing it was easy to do without reading instructions.

Tuning a little later.

Who doesn't love a car in static display

Actually did this to get the skid plate and bottom covers off to allow the welding of the cage to not melt the plastic plus I will need to do fluid changes.

NRG hub spacer

Mounted to an NRG quick release with one of my existing wheels. I may or may not stay with this wheel. I really like the one out of my CRX.

Hello Sexy. I can barely wait to take you out on a date.

The plan is to deliver the car to AAF https://advancedautofab.com/ on Christmas Eve. Get my Racetech seat mounted with my seat position correct. This will let Hank build the cage to not have any interferences and get the belt bars at the correct height.

We had planned on loading up this evening but crazy rain fell all day and then converted itself to this:

I think it will warm up tomorrow and unloading the trailer and loading the trailer should go okay. Hopefully. The road conditions over the mountains are looking decent through Saturday.

Made some room in the trailer to load the FRS. I know, first world problems.

Trying to load up the trailer but the car won't start. Remember the alarm system I found. I forgot to splice these two wires back together. Did a quickie splice that I will redo after cage is installed.

All loaded up for the trip over to Adavance Auto Fab

Just a short way out of town.

This device work spectacularly and as advertised.

This is what came off. Tread blew off with the loudest bang I have ever had. Glad the tread came off, let me drive to the next exit. Tip: Don't change your flat tire in a private school parking lot. They can be pricks during your 5-7 minutes of changing a tire.

Car meets the cage builder in the morning.

The package has been delivered to AAF https://advancedautofab.com/ Hank is excited about getting into the project. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make some really cool products for these cars going forward.

We located the seat with a low seat rails kit but the seat rails are too narrow making the seat too high be a little more than an inch. Will need to modify the rails or just fabricate new ones.

The trailer and truck are completely full of the other our project. The K24 CRX. We will work on finish that next winter.

I won't have anything to post till next year.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.
