I'll take either or, I'd prefer a Dual Clutch or very fast auto or a manual. I like to go with the times. For me it's about fastest shifts possible.

Dual clutches are automatics. There are manuals then there is everything else. Autos can be fun too, but never as rewarding.

Few things are as satisfying to me as nailing an up or downshift during a fun drive. The reason being that it takes multiple steps to pull either thing off (more so for the downshift if you want to rev match), and you need to time everything precisely and smoothly to nail it.

You guys feel that way and I'm not going to take that away from you. But, you have to accept that there are others that just don't care. |

Haha no worries. My post wasn’t meant to say ones better than the other. I was only emphasizing the bolded point.

Can't quote you @spike021
I have to say, I would be less than thrilled if I didn't have control over my AT transmission. I've begun to really like these flappy paddles, especially on track. I almost traded this one in for a manual but am glad I didn't. |

To the point, a Toyota Supra without a manual option is a flop for me. I’ve driven a Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin, and even the Ferraris dual clutch was a numbing experience.

PS. Honda seems to understand... Civic SI and Type R, only available with a 6 speed.

Perhaps JDM people have short inseams like I do and are not perfectly suited to drive German stick shift where the clutch pedal travel goes in fairly deep.
This was the main reason I didn't get a manual Golf GTI but opted for the initially hella cool but got boring real fast DSG option. |

I refute your statement. A toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich with a light spread of Dijon mustard is much better.
