Good morning!

Here with the vortech and enjoying life!
To blew the engine all you neeed is a bad tune.
The vortech unit is very sturdy so it may last a couple of cars.

Thanks! This is the kit I'm leaning towards but the silence on the thread was a bit unnerving...

Yea, so I'm building engine #3 currently. Bent a rod on the first one (crap 91 and bad tune) and floated my intake valves on the 2nd.

This time its built from the ground up and i'm switching to E85.

That sucks. I'm assuming you weren't running the CARB tune?

Let's hope the 3rd times the charm!

Well, CARB is a non factor in ND, but my first tune was from full blown motorsports in Minneapolis. 2nd was moto east, but nothing wrong with that tune.

I've pretty much forgotten that it is on the car at this point, except when I change the oil and drain/fill the supercharger

No idea. Once a year, I take it for a valet cleaning and it comes back shiny
Actually, it's always shiny. Really goes POP in the sun

So happy I'll be joining the Vortech club soon . Just bought a used kit.
I have a two radium catch can setup installed, an Oil cooler on the way and just got done cleaning up the Vortech kit. I don't know much about the tunes yet but I'm thinking of going with Delicious if they have a smog legal tune. I should say something that will allow me to pass somg. I already have my ECUTeck and I'm finishing out a Stage1 tune with them now.

My FRS is an Automatic with the Borla cat back system. My goal is to build a daily that's CA smog legal.
