I just found out that I'm up near the top of the waiting list!

I asked about the timeframe of the TQ300 and the answer was :
At least NEXT SUMMER because of the lack of proper components to handle 6000 watts.

Hopefully, upgrading won't be too expensive!

No sir I am not. I'm sorry I never followed up, but I went with my own form of supercharging and traded the FR-S on a Mustang GT . Though I would have loved to try this.

If he ever makes a super sized version and needs a V8 test car, PM me

At least. I fully expect next summer. Have talked about it at length with Rob. It works well at my altitude but if anyone closer to sea level runs it they will easily max the controller out and go into shutdown mode all the time.

Right now i am pulling 290amps at 24v.... guys at sea level will see 320 at the same setup.

Just to squash any rumors....there is going to be a decent price gap between the two options assuming that the TQ300 does indeed come to market in the future.

Stock system TQ250 with 1.5 and aux charger is right around the 190A mark.....This can easily run on Robs production 4.5kw controller with a reasonable amount of reliability. As soon as you push up above the 6-7kw mark you are asking ALOT and there has to be safety margins to make sure the device lasts longer than a couple months before it burns out.

The TQ300 also demands alot more of the batteries...people who one day purchase this system will have to understand that it cant do the standard 1.5minutes before you are out of juice.

well I guess that makes my decision for me, tq250 it is.. that is unless I am farther down the list than I think I am, and will be waiting 6 more months for a 250 anyway.

Not that I would spend the time to do it, but has anyone else thought the voltmeter gauge should be a digital bar graph like the turbo bar in old arcade games? Like excite bike. Where the lower the voltage the closer it gets to the "overheat"

You've heard of individual throttle bodies, now comes individual phantom chargers

Thanks for all the extra info Fenton. I know you've been hard at work testing (torture isn't it? ). The above + the 6-12 mo timeline goes a long way to setting my mind at ease. I'll start a spring/summer 2015 fund just in case. I'm in with Phantom for the long haul.

So, I just found out from Rob that pretty much, you'll have to swap most of the components going from the 250 to 300 - FYI.
I'm perfectly fine with moving ahead with the 250.

No problem.

There needs to be a lot of data before things are deemed safe and reliable. Getting through some of the install jitters goes a long way to increasing the device longevity as well.

Rob is a real stickler for doing things right the first time and over engineering whereever possible.

Right now his tq250 would still be considered a trail/test period. Especially considering we are adding more power and amps via the additional batteries of the 1.5 and aux charger.

Robs main kit has the standard dump with no DR and that's it....the miata guys run this and that system can work all day long.

In 1.5 to 2 minute increments of course.

That is why even though we make virtually the same power as a standard innovate he is 1/3 the price...we can't run none stop and they can....you have to pay for that

I'm still very interested but I want to see what the tq300 performs compared to the tq250
