Theres no way it will be badged an STi and share the same drivetrain as the FR-S. I think this is the model the auto mags got to drive that said has more power.

it's just that I was never really sold on the whole "exactly the same except badges" claim. I'm hoping on some slight sheetmetal differences like this render. |

Now maybe in a few years we'll see something like that, but I wouldn't bet on it for next year. I'd be happy to be wrong though!

Hey guys, this a bit off topic in regards to suspension and my apologies if there is a definitive answer. Some articles mention the FT-86 as Double wishbone rear, any word if the BR-Z will be different (i.e Multi-link). Thanks

It's going to be the same as the FR-S, so the rear will be double wishbone according to the specs that were leaked.

Oh my, that looks much better than expected. If this thing does have a real STI variant with a turbo, this will be the one people want to get.

Will be the first Subaru production sport car here in a while that wont cost an arm an a kidney to insurance due to the naturally aspirated engine option. |

They did manage to get the "Subaru" styling cues in there. Front end is boring, so maybe they will change that. Like the Scion/Toyota version better though. Their concepts looked better and their production looks better. I'll just add my own turbo setup.

For me, it's going to come down to which has the nicer interior and features thereof. It could come down to something as simple as which one has better cupholders.
Mark my words, the standard versions of the Toyota and Subaru versions will be mechanically identical. |
