Apple released new Apple Watch series 10, so I’ve ordered discounted down series 9. Now I have Ultra 2 as daily wear & series 9 to keep track when I play sports, workout & keep track of my sleep. Is it necessary to have 2 Apple Watch? Absolutely not & it’s a waste. This is what happens when I don’t have a car that doesn’t have any aftermarket options lmfao

My hobby is to spend money only on things that help me avoid spending money on other people doing for me.

That gets expensive too.

They hold a charge so badly you need two... Some neat features but oof. As long as you get value out of them though, nothing to sweat.

Actually it holds the charge well (Ultra 2 hold about 2.5 days~3 days for me). Issue is Ultra 2 damn huge & I cannot hide it well w wristband. Also it’s decently heavy that, not that comfy sleeping w them (especially w metal band).
Did I get my value out of em? Questionable. Prob better buying car parts (mentally)… but I got EV, so they’re very limited in aftermarket parts lol

My Garmin watch goes like 8 days lol. Sometimes I forget where I put the charge cable.

I got the trailer ready to go. The truck ready to go. Can't wait for our trip next week.

Going to spend a couple nights in Downtown Temecula, a couple in Oceanside, and a couple to be determined.

Our halfway stop is Hawthorne NV at some little hotel casino, so be staying there one night each way. I've planned about 7 hours a day driving, so no crazy drive days.

Really looking forward to a nice vacation.

Hell, if you say that, I used to have Pebble Steel watch. That fucker lasted me over 10 days before I needed to charge it again. In that concept, modern day smartwatch battery life sucks!

lol I break stuff so I always buy cheaper stuff. My first was a refurbished Garmin that I paid like 90 bucks for. Lasted me like 6-7 years. I am using a forerunner 245 right now which was like 120ish. I just need to be able to see time without touching my phone since that is a huge no no at my work.

Also, why TF are Subaru valve shims so expensive???? Like 8-10/each. I used to be able to buy an entire shim set for a Yamaha for like 80 bucks that was enough shims to build like 4-5 engines without counting the ones I was taking out.

Welcome to the New World Order on parts pricing. Be thankful you can still buy some parts individually.
Many car and motorcycles now have many items sold only as complete units! Need to replace that fancy bulb in you Ducati? You may have to buy the entire headlight assembly at $2000 for a $200 MSRP bulb that cost $2.00 to make.

Things I can't wait to do in California:

Eat real Chinese food,
Eat real Mexican food,
See and smell the ocean.

I can't believe how much I miss the last one.

I just experienced this with my car hauler. Brakes had worn out magnets. The only way to fix is replace the entire hub/drum/shoe/backing plate unit at $500 a wheel. Sucks!

MomHawk and my go-to vacation spot is always the beach somewhere. In fact, we were there just last week.

Unfortunately, where we chose to go was Anna Maria Island, FL. For those that don't know this is a barrier island south of Tampa.

We arrived Saturday and left early Tuesday (were supposed to stay all week) when Hurricane Helene was going to obviously be a thing. We got out about 4 hours before the mandatory evacuation started.

The island took a tidal surge that basically swept across the entire land area and deposited several feet of sand across all the roads and in many of the homes. It's going to be a while before they come back.
